We created chat so that members can have space for casual one-to-one or small group communication. These are a single, endless comment thread, similar to text messaging. Chat is only available to people who have installed the app on their phones and so anyone in your group who is engaging purely through email or SMS will not be able to access it. To access this feature, all they need to do, is download the Joinable app at either Apple or Android.
