The short answer is yes! Joinable works a little bit differently than other group communication tools. It's built around helping people get together.
Private Circles
Circles serve much of the same function as what you'd expect from groups, which is to serve as a way people can organize and share activities, but have some unique characteristics:
- They are created and managed by the Circle owner(s)
- They are private and not discoverable (a personal invitation is needed to join)
- Members of a Private Circle can see one another, even if they aren't connected (direct messaging is not allowed without permission)
- The Circle owner has some basic group admin tools, such as member management, promotion tools, and Circle configuration settings
